Female Genital Mutilation
A respectfully delivered session on the background and practicalities of FGM, Why does it still happen? Who is most at risk? How does the law work? How can we support a victim?

Mental Health Awareness

Providing delegates with knowledge and understanding of mental health illness, behaviour and how it impacts daily life.
The session is designed to enhance the support of an individual.

Looking at non aggressive skills and techniques to respond to behaviour that challenges.

Dementia Awareness

Dementia has an impact on individuals, families and care givers. This session is designed to look at understanding the condition, the behaviour we are likely to see/experience, the legal, best practice and ethical guidelines to providing care.

Ligature Rescue

A theory and practical session involving: Ligature risk assessment and control measures, preventative measures, safety equipment training, safe rescue from ligature, reporting and recording of incidents, supporting victims and staff through an incident.

Train The Trainer

Delegates will explore the value of training to an organisation, how understanding learning styles make for a better session, cover the basics of course design, some hints and tips for sessions and practice confident training delivery - with feedback.

Communication Skills

Aimed a communicating effectively in a social care setting where using effective skills is essential. Looking at how to use those skills to motivate, support, encourage, challenge and empathise where necessary. Exploring various practical techniques to achieve this.

Interviewing

Designed for interviewers or interviewee: to look at how to prepare for the session, be ready for difficulties or challenges, how to prepare to meet objectives and ask the right question with practical exercises - using techniques to remain calm ensuring the best outcome is reached for all parties.
